We get all sorts of different requests which are obviously upsetting to the homeowner - especially if its maggots!
A call at 8pm the other night had maggots falling out of the over the shove exhaust and believe it or not this is common when rats or possums die either from baits or they get trapped inside the roof and can't find their way out.
It's different in summer you would definitnely smell the bodies by this stage that maggots are on the body of the animal but in winter they keep for a little longer.
We have even had maggots dropping from the down lights.
WHAT WE DO...
We will retrieve the body and dispose of it BUT replace with an odour bag one that does not mask the smell but actually absorbs the smell.
